Leading Australian live rock band, Midnight Oil last week performed a rip-roaring set to an intimate audience at Melbourne's Chapel on Chapel to be broadcast as part of the current Cold Live At The Chapel TV series.

Leading Australian live rock band, Midnight Oil last week performed a rip-roaring set to an intimate audience at Melbourne's Chapel on Chapel to be broadcast as part of the current Cold Live At The Chapel TV series. The recording will air on Channel 10 at 11.25pm this Saturday night -March 2. The band pumped through a live set incorporating a couple of favourites and a selection of tunes from their newly released album 'Capricornia'.

Cold Live At The Chapel usually airs for 30 minutes however, Midnight Oil, a band known for breaking tradition, have changed the rules with this episode airing for an hour. The Oils shared their time at the live performance with Something For Kate and The Superjesus, who last year were part of a team of local acts to honour the band with a tribute album, 'The Power and The Passion' which delivered thirteen bands performing their interpretation of a Midnight Oil classic of their choice.

Melbourne three-piece, Something For Kate delivered a blistering performance of 'Dreamworld' a track which is often included in their own live sets and The Superjesus splayed out a haunting version of all time favourite 'Short Memory'.

Kick back, tune into Channel 10 and your local Triple M station for the simulcast and crank up the volume to witness what is a fine live TV performance, Midnight Oil Cold Live At The Chapel this Saturday night March 2 at 11.25pm.

Midnight Oil will spend 2002 turning up the volume around the planet, reigniting their international fan base and introducing their new album 'Capricornia' to all territories. They will return to perform a national Australian tour later this year.
