09.07.08
On August 3 at The Basement, Sydney, 'Ebb Tide and the Shorebreakers' featuring Jim Martin and Rob from Midnight Oil will take to the stage with some of Australia's finest talent to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation. Tickets are on sale now!

Australia and America's leading rock musicians are showing their support to one of Australia's finest session violinists, Wayne Goodwin, who was debilitated physically and financially by non-Hodgkins lymphoma in June 2007.

Much loved by the artists he has worked with during his illustrious career, including Emmy Lou Harris, Crosby Stills and Nash, INXS, Midnight Oil and Sting. Wayne's talent has prompted music legends The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, John Mellencamp and Emmylou Harris to donate collectable memorabilia to help raise funds for him and The Leukaemia Foundation.

Wendy Harmer will be auctioneering John Mellencamp's autographed Fender Acoustic Guitar; a Fender signed by The Doobie Bros and Chicago; T-Shirts signed by the Doobie Bros; rare X-File T-shirts and caps; a custom jacket from Gibson given to Emmylou Harris which she has signed and has sent for auction; memorabilia from Jimmy Buffet and Graham Nash; a Sony HD Bravia; signed cookbooks from celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Kylie Kwong, Tobie Puttock and Sommelier Matt Skinner; accommodation packages at Establishment Hotel in Sydney and Jonah's in Whale Beach.

The night will also feature The Atlantics, Daddy Cool's Ross Wilson, Dog Trumpet's Reg Mombassa and Peter O'Doherty, Ian Cooper - Jazz Violinist Supremo, Good News Week's Paul McDermott, Flacco, Sandman and Wendy Harmer; with your chance to collect valuable memorabilia through auction including signed Fender Guitars from American Grammy Award Winners John Mellencamp, The Doobie Brothers and Chicago.

Each year in Australia over 4000 people are diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma which has also affected well known Australians such as Delta Goodrem, making it the fifth most common cancer in Australia.

Enjoy Australia's finest talent at The Basement tonight and help raise much needed funds for the important work of the Leukaemia Foundation.
