Midnight Oil will be honoured with this year’s prestigious Excellence in the Community Award at Support Act‘s ‘Music In The House’ fundraising event on Tuesday 23 August.
A highlight of the celebration will be an online auction of Midnight Oil memorabilia, including a specially created Fender Vintera ’50s Telecaster wrapped in a custom print of Midnight Oil’s 10-1 album artwork, the actual surfboard used to promote the Scream in Blue live album, watercolour prints of the band at soundcheck by artist Christabel Blackman and some rare vinyl from Rob Hirst’s personal collection.
Both the auction and raffle are open to the public to bid or buy from now until 9pm, Tuesday 23 August at www.musicinthehouse.org.
Support Act is the music industry’s charity, delivering crisis relief services to crew, artists, artist managers, and music workers across all genres who are unable to work due to ill health, injury, a mental health problem or some other crisis, such as COVID-19.
